WEST FIFE cycle star Eileen Roe is on her way to the Gold Coast after being named in the Team Scotland squad for the Commonwealth Games.
The 28-year-old, from High Valleyfield, is one of 16 cyclists who have been selected for the Games, which take place in April.
Roe, a two-time British Cycling National Circuit Race champion in 2014 and 2016, will ride at her third Commonwealth Games after being picked alongside fellow West Fifer - and pal - Charline Joiner for Glasgow 2014 and Delhi four years earlier.
The Team WNT rider was one of a further 92 athletes in cycling, athletics, badminton, diving, gymnastics, men's and women's hockey, netball, shooting, swimming and wrestling announced by Team Scotland this morning.
Today’s announcement bring the number of athletes selected for Team Scotland for Gold Coast 2018 to 207. Further selections, including the Rugby 7s squad, will be announced in March.
