ON-LOAN Pars pair Aidan Keena and Malaury Martin have been recalled by parent club Heart of Midlothian, the Edinburgh club have said this afternoon.

The Tynecastle side have announced that striker Keena and midfielder Martin are among several players that will return to Gorgie from loan spells this month.

As yet, there has been no confirmation from Athletic, but Keena wrote on social media: "All the best to Dunfermline for the rest of the season, loved my time there with a great bunch of lads that will for sure get themselves back where they belong.

"Looking forward to seeing what the rest of the season will bring."

A statement on Hearts' website said: "Aidan Keena is one of several Hearts player to have returned to the club from respective loan spells.

"The 19-year-old striker has spent the first half of the season on loan at Championship side Dunfermline Athletic. He now returns to Tynecastle having scored 4 goals in 11 games for the Pars.

Malaury Martin has also returned to the club following his period on loan at East End Park."

Keena and Martin were both recruited on the final day of the August transfer window on season-long loan deals, although Keena did not join up with the Athletic squad until October after recovering from a hernia operation.

The Irishman scored a memorable double in just his second appearance - a 2-2 draw at Inverness - and went on to add two more goals in his next 10 games.

French midfielder Martin, 30, played 12 times with the club and appeared as a substitute during Saturday's 1-0 loss at Dundee United, a game in which Keena started.
