THE season cannot end soon enough for the Pars but barring an exceptionally freak set of results on Saturday, they will remain in the Championship for the next campaign.

However, one point in seven games does not augur well for the trip to the Highlands where they will take on Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Caley are even money to notch the win that might promote them to third in the final standings; a draw is 5/2 and the Pars 13/5. Put simply, Thistle are the only option at those prices.

Prediction: Inverness CT 2 Dunfermline 0.

A point at Pittodrie will be sufficient for Celtic to lift the title for the eighth successive occasion (Sky Sports Football, Saturday 12.30pm) and the layers make them an 8/13 shot to nail the victory. Third-placed Aberdeen are 9/2 to delay the celebrations a while longer and the draw is 3/1.

By the time Rangers versus Hibernian comes round (Sky Sports Football, Sunday 3.30pm) it might be a purely academic fixture but the Gers are 1/2 to claim the spoils at Ibrox, a draw is 18/5 and the Hi-Bees 13/2 (Bet365).

The first legs of the Europa League semi-finals will be broadcast by BT tonight (Thursday) and the bookies believe that the London-based teams are set to dominate the rest of the competition. Chelsea are 6/4 (Bet365/Hills) to lift the trophy, Arsenal are 5/2, Valencia 4/1 (Spreadex) and Eintracht Frankfurt 13/2 (Spreadex).

Arsenal meet Valencia at the Emirates (BT Sport 2, 8pm) and will be hoping to build up a substantial lead ahead of the return trip to Spain. The Gunners are 21/20 (Betfred), a draw 13/5 (Bet365/Betvictor) and Valencia 3/1.

Eintracht Frankfurt host Chelsea at the Commerzbank Arena (BT Sport 3, 8pm) and Die Adler are 9/5 (Betfair Sportsbook) to emerge with a first-leg advantage. The Pensioners are 17/10 (Betfred) and a stalemate 49/20 (Unibet).
