DUNFERMLINE Athletic Ladies are set to play a landmark match next month when they play at KDM Group East End Park.

The team, who play in the Biffa SWFL (Scottish Women's Football League) East, will host Falkirk Development at the ground on Wednesday May 3.

It will be the first time that the squad have played at the stadium, with their games having usually taken place at the Fleet Grounds, in Rosyth, and at Pitreavie, and head coach, Angie Comrie, said: "We're looking forward to it.

"It shows that the club are supporting the women's side of the game as well."

Entry for fans will be free for 7.30pm kick off, with the Pars aiming to repeat their 3-1 success away to Falkirk in February.

On Sunday, meanwhile, they lost their second successive game, going down 3-2 at Linlithgow Rose.

"It was a 3-2 defeat but I was really happy with the way the team played," Comrie said.

"The difference between the two teams was that they took their chances. I thought the scoreline didn't reflect the game. The way the girls moved the ball about from back to front, side to side, was great.

"I'm really disappointed for the girls to walk away from the game without any points."

This weekend, the Pars are back at home to play league leaders, Livingston Reserves, for a 3pm kick off.

Aberdour SDC Ladies, who saw their game at Bonnyrigg Rose called off at the weekend, are scheduled to host Falkirk, at 3pm, at Hawkcraig Park.
