DUNFERMLINE ATHLETIC LADIES are set for another "special occasion" this weekend when they play a second match at KDM Group East End Park.
After playing at the venue for the first time in May, when they defeated Falkirk Development 10-0, Angie Comrie's team will play Linlithgow Rose there on Sunday in a Scottish Women's Football League (SWFL) East match.
After three games, the Pars sit proudly at the top of the league, having secured three wins from three, scoring 16 goals and conceding just four in the process.
They are the only team in the division with a perfect record, having beaten Musselburgh Windsor 3-1, Edinburgh Uni Thistle 3-2, and Central Girls Football Academy 10-1.
On Sunday, they won their preliminary round Scottish Cup tie at Buckie Thistle 4-0, thanks to goals from Becca Todd, Alex Davie, Meg Reilly and Emily McGurnaghan, setting up a tie at Giffnock SC Women on October 1.
"We have had a good few results in pre-season and that's carried on into the league, League Cup and Scottish Cup," Comrie said.
We brought some new players in and they have settled in really well. The style of football that we have been playing has suited everyone.
"As well as adding a few new players, we have also added to the management team, with Jordan Devlin and Kerrin Smith both bringing in new ideas to the team. The players had adapted great to them both. There's a a feel-good atmosphere to the team this season.
"Sunday saw us travel away up to Buckie Ladies, over a three-hour trip up and down. The management team were really pleased with the result. We started slowly, which was probably to be expected, but once we scored our first goal, you knew more goals would follow."
On the prospect of Sunday's match at East End, she added: "The club as a whole is excited and looking forward to welcoming Linlithgow. It's another special occasion for the ladies team."
Kick off is at 1.30pm and entry, via the Main Stand, is free.
