A BUSY year at an iconic West Fife venue is set to go out with a bang next weekend - and you could be there.

Knockhill Racing Circuit, Scotland's national motorsport centre, will bring the curtain down on a packed 12 months of events on Saturday, November 4, when it hosts its annual live action and fireworks spectacular.

Co-ordinated by the Edinburgh 21CC Fireworks Company, the family-fun day will combine a stunning display, and on and off track motorsport entertainment, to wow the crowds at what is anticipated to be a sell-out event.

Every ticket was snapped up in 2021 and 2022 and Stuart Gray, director of events at Knockhill, said: "I'm glad things are beginning to wind down. It's been a busy year!

"The recovery from Covid has taken two seasons to get back to stability, and it has been a good season.

"The fireworks this year will be set to music, which we've not done before, and there will also be a lights show, which we've not done before.

"On the track, there's new features of entertainment, starting at 2pm. To try to manage the arrival and exit of people, from 1pm, there will be a bus tour of the circuit, which is free with a racing driving instructor, which will be very information, and, post-fireworks, there will be 45 minutes of track action."

It brings to an end the events calendar for 2023, which included Bennetts British Superbike Championship and Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship events, the latter of which saw Kelty race ace, Ronan Pearson, compete at the venue for the first time in the series.

In addition, on the day there will be car displays, demonstrations, special promotions, funfair rides, merchandise and food outlets available, while all parking is on-site and free.

Press Sport has teamed-up with Knockhill to offer three family tickets to the event, which includes complimentary food for all (a maximum of four people per family ticket, of two adults and two children aged up to 16) at the venue's on-site Kinnaird's Bistro, as well as the chance for one person per family to enjoy a passenger ride around the tri-oval in a truck.

For your chance to win, simply tell us the name of the Kelty British Touring Car Championship driver that competed at Knockhill this year.
