DUNFERMLINE'S home match with Queen's Park this afternoon has been postponed.

The club have announced this morning that, due to heavy snowfall overnight, the SPFL Championship game at KDM Group East End Park has been called off.

James McPake's side had been looking to build on Tuesday evening's win over Arbroath against the Spiders, but the fixture will now be rescheduled for an alternative date, which is yet to be confirmed.

Dunfermline will return to action next Saturday at Airdrieonians.

In addition, in the last few moments, Kelty Hearts have announced that their League One clash with Edinburgh City has also been called off due to snow.

Michael Tidser's side had been looking for a third win from three against the capital club this season, and three wins in a row, after successes against Queen of the South in the league, then against Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Cup.

Their next scheduled fixture is a trip to current league leaders, Falkirk, next Saturday afternoon.Β

Meanwhile, in the East of Scotland League, Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts' home clash with Hill of Beath Hawthorn, Crossgates Primrose's game with Broxburn Athletic, Oakley United's visit to Preston Athletic, and Rosyth's trip to Blackburn United, have also all been postponed.

Elsewhere, Dunfermline Rugby Club and Rosyth Sharks Rugby Club have confirmed their weekend fixtures are also off.Β
