ATHLETIC'S home clash with Dundee United next month has been brought forward to accommodate live TV coverage.

The current Championship leaders were due to make their second visit of the campaign to KDM Group East End Park on Saturday March 16 - but the game will now be played the day prior.

BBC Scotland have chosen the fixture for broadcast, and it will now go ahead on Friday March 15, with a 7.45pm kick off.

It will be the second Championship match of the season to be beamed live from the ground this term, and United were the visitors on the previous occasion in November.

Dunfermline Press:

Despite Owen Moffat's equaliser for the Pars, cancelling out Kai Fotheringham's opener, ex-Dunfermline loanee, Chris Mochrie, struck a late winner for Jim Goodwin's team.

The game will be the fourth and final league meeting of the teams this season, with the two clashes at Tannadice, in August and last month, ending in 1-1 and 0-0 draws respectively.

This weekend, Dunfermline entertain Queen's Park in a rearranged clash, following two previous postponements, with no Championship fixtures having been scheduled due to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup, which both clubs exited at the third round stage.

There has, however, been no new date confirmed as yet for Athletic's home fixture with Airdrieonians, which was called off on January 13 due to a waterlogged pitch.

Dunfermline will also be live on BBC Scotland later this month when they make the trip to Partick Thistle, which will be played on Friday February 23.
