Dunfermline Athletic Ladies 4 East Fife Development 0

PARS head coach Charles Dignan expressed his pride in his team after they picked up another impressive victory at the weekend.

They followed up their 6-1 win at Murieston United seven days previously with a four-goal success over East Fife Development, their second successive win in SWFL (Scottish Women's Football League) East.

Ellis Yeaman put them ahead in the first half before doubling their lead after the break, with Katey Turner and Alex Davie adding to their tally.

Recent signing, Kayleigh Johnston, picked up a first clean sheet in goal in only her second match since joining from Alloa Athletic, whilst another new addition, Taylor Shields, made her debut.

The victory leaves them seventh in the table, with 15 points from 10 matches, and made it two wins from two in the league for Dignan.

They have now won four games in a row - including a success over East Fife in the SWFL Plate at the end of January, taking them into the quarter-finals - and Dignan said: "I'm really proud of my girls, not just for the weekend's result, but also how we have grown together as a team these last few months.

"The game on Sunday was competitive for about 20-25 minutes but, after that, we proved too much for East Fife once again and we won comfortably in the end.

"East Fife Development brought in four players from their first team and we still went on to control the game, keep a clean sheet, and score four goals to take the three points.

"We have won our last five games now (including a friendly with Huntly), scoring 23 goals and only conceding two.

"We are building something special with a great, honest bunch of players, and it's only the start."

On Sunday, the Pars travel to Linlithgow Rose in SWFL East.
