Linlithgow Rose 2 Dunfermline Athletic Ladies 3

DUNFERMLINE ATHLETIC LADIES continued their fine form to defeat Linlithgow Rose by the odd-goal-in-five to move fourth in the SWFL (Scottish Women's Football League) East league.

Charles Dignan's team have now won five competitive matches in a row after coming from behind on Sunday to record victory.

Becca Todd equalised for the Pars, before Tyler Sibbons put them ahead, only for Linlithgow to draw level with a penalty.

Katey Turner, however, netted the decisive goal, and Dignan commented: "I'm delighted to get the win and come back from 1-0 down, but disappointed we conceded our goals from a free-kick and a penalty, as Linlithgow never troubled us really in open play.

"We got in at half-time 1-0 down to a free-kick following a competitive first half where, despite that, we still have the better chances, but don't take them. That isn't like us as we have been usually very clinical in front of goal lately.

"In the second half, we changed the shape and our style of play, and Linlithgow just simply couldn't live with us. We scored three but, again, we could have easily doubled that on another day if we take our chances.

"Other than the penalty, Linlithgow never really got any clean-cut chances and, from that perspective, I am happy we are controlling games and not allowing teams in behind, or any real chances."

This Sunday, the Pars host Central Girls Football Academy.
