MOVING on loan to a part-time club has been something different for Brad McKay but he has "thoroughly enjoyed" his time with Kelty Hearts.

The 31-year-old, who enjoyed a temporary spell with Dunfermline eight years ago and helped them win League One, has made 11 appearances for Michael Tidser's side since joining in January.

He arrived at New Central Park on Falkirk, who wrapped up the third tier title at the end of last month, but looks likely to leave the Bairns this summer after a three-year spell.

McKay made just five appearance for John McGlynn's team - all from the bench - this term, with the last coming at Cove Rangers in August, with injury providing an additional challenge to try and force his way back into a side that remain unbeaten in League One.

A brief spell at newly-crowned League Two champions Stenhousemuir, during the 2012/13 season, whilst he was coming through the ranks at Heart of Midlothian, aside, McKay hasn't experienced playing for a part-time side during his career until his switch to the 'Maroon Machine'.

He has, however, embraced the experience, and told Press Sport: "It's the first time I've been part-time for many years.

"I was on loan at Stenhousemuir for an emergency loan, month, but other than that, I've not been part-time. To come back into the part-time environment, and see how the boys work, the boys treat it professionally.

"It's a bit different in the sense that the boys come from their work and things like that. You appreciate that in a different sense because they come from their work, they're grafting, they come straight to training, and get home late.

"It's just a different look at it. I've enjoyed it. I've thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a brilliant club, the manager's been great with me as well, and all the backroom staff, and all the boys, have made me feel welcome."
