A STAR gymnast sparkled and claimed a national title when she competed in a recently-held Scottish Gymnastics competition.
Sapphire Lawrie, who is a member of Zodiak Gymnastics Club in Dunfermline, attended the Women’s Artistic Performance one, two three and four, Excel one and two, and Preparation three competition at the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, Motherwell, and finished in the medals.
Held over the weekend of March 30-31, Sapphire competed in the preparation three event and enjoyed dazzling success.
She was crowned Scottish preparation three champion, out of a field of 57 gymnastics from across the country who entered, whilst also collecting individual apparatus medals of gold for vault and beam, and bronze for range and conditioning.
Based in Bruce Street, Zodiak Gymnastics Club aim to provide opportunities for youngsters, aged four years and upwards, to participate in women's artistic gymnastics at recreational and competitive levels in a fun, safe, rewarding environment under the guidance of knowledgeable, experienced coaches.
