DUNFERMLINE ATHLETIC and Bayside Women both got their new league seasons up-and-running by claiming victories at the weekend.
Charles Dignan's Pars, and Kerry Walker's Bayside, opened their SWFL (Scottish Women's Football League) Central campaigns with home victories on Sunday - with the latter's taking them to the top of the table.
Athletic welcomed Cumbernauld Colts Women to Pitreavie for their opener and claimed a 3-2 victory.
Cree Connell put the home side ahead before Helen Templeton added their second, and then the same player scored again to make it 3-0.
Although Colts pulled two goals back, the second of which came from the penalty spot, the Pars saw the match out to collect three points.
Also at Pitreavie, Bayside Women played their first league encounter against Carron Huskies Ladies, a club formed in 2022 and playing its first season in the SWFL.
They had no answer to their opponents, however, as Bayside netted 15 goals without reply to open their league fixtures in style.
Four of those were scored by head coach Walker, whilst both Ali Johnstone and Amber Walker grabbed hat-tricks.
There were doubles for Katie Robertson and Louise Kane, whilst Morgan Murray also added her name to the scoresheet.
This Sunday, the Pars are scheduled to be in Scottish Gas Women's Scottish Cup first round action, at home to Kilwinning FA Ladies, with kick-off at Pitreavie at 1.30pm.
