Dunfermline Track and Field Club hand out awards at ceremony

The club united to honour the champions across various age and gender categories.

Michael Olsen, a former 100m and 60m Scottish champion, presented the awards as guest of honour.

Darcie Black was the overall, indoor, and outdoor club champion.

She also bagged the U20 women's title for 2024.

Riley Gardiner earned the best national championship performance award for his silver medal in the U15B 300m event, where he also set a new club record.

He was third in the club championship and runner-up in the outdoor club championship.

Sophie also became the U17 women’s champion while securing runner-up positions in the club championship and indoor club championship.

Special recognition awards were given to Sophie Thomas for her role in the Scottish U20 4x100m relay team that set a new Scottish record and to Poppy Warner, who was selected for the East District U13 Cross Country League relay team.

The club also acknowledged its athletes who won medals in the national championships by presenting them with engraved salvers.

The recipients were Darcie Black (eight medals), Sean Asamoah, Shatna Asamoah, Sophie Thomas (60m indoor), Mya McMahon (outdoor long jump), and Riley Gardiner (300m outdoor).

The club expressed gratitude to all organisers, helpers, and coaches for contributing to last season's success.

The club now looks forward to the upcoming season with indoor events already underway.
