Reigning Paralympic champion Ben Sandilands and his coach have been shortlisted for accolades at a prestigious national prizegiving.
The 22-year-old, who struck gold in memorable fashion at last year's Games, is in the running for an honour at the scottishathletics and jogscotland 4J Studios annual awards, as is his trainer, Steve Doig.
Fife AC competitor Ben, who trains with a group of athletes led by Steve at Pitreavie Athletics Centre, is one of the nominees for Para Athlete of the Year, whilst Steve is a contender for Para Athlete Performance Coach of the Year.
They are both seeking to win their respective awards for a second year running, having been successful 12 months ago.
Following his stunning T20 1500 metres victory in Paris, in which he set a world record time on his Paralympic debut, Ben was jointly presented with the accolade alongside wheelchair racer, Sammi Kinghorn, who won one gold and four gold medals at the event.
This year saw him picked to represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships, which were held in New Delhi, India.
It was the second time that Ben had been picked for that competition, with his first coming in 2023, where, on his debut in a GB vest, he won gold.
This year, he had broken his own PB (personal best) of three minutes and 45.50 seconds - his Paralympic winning time - with a run of 03:44.90 at the BMC Grand Prix World Athletics Challenger event in Manchester.
In the build-up to the World Para Athletics Championships, Ben stated that he was "in the best shape I've ever been", and hard targeted at least another PB, but his hopes of retaining his title were dashed when he suffered a hamstring injury.
That came in Ben's final session, at the holding camp, and his focus has now turned towards next summer's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, with the men's T20 1500m included in the programme of athletics and para athletics events.
Hoping to help guide him to those Games will be his coach, Steve, who last year shared the coaching accolade with Rodger Harkins, who works with Kinghorn.
They have been joined in the running for the prize by Graeme Reid, whilst Ben will go up against wheelchair racer Melanie Woods, who won bronze medals over 800m and 1500m at the World Para Athletics Championships, and frame runner Finlay Menzies, a 100m bronze medal winner at the competition.
The awards, which will be held in Glasgow on Saturday November 29, will celebrate the achievements of athletes, coaches, officials, clubs and volunteers across the country.
Christine Ohuruogu, 2008 women's 400m Olympic champion, and two-time World Athletics Championship winner, will be the special guest at the ceremony.
