A pet shop in Rosyth has changed its name and is now named after the owner’s daughter.

Leenah’s Pet Supplies was previously called Layla and Isa’s Pet Supplies after the previous owner’s two dogs. The current owner, Tamara Shihada, took over the shop in September but had worked with the previous owner Anise, who is also her brother, when the shop first opened.

As previously reported in the Press, the shop opened to the public in March last year.

“It's been amazing since taking over the shop and I truly love my job and it gives me a great feeling knowing I've managed to get pets on steady diets - happy fur babies, happy pet parents,” Tamara said.

Tamara’s daughter Leenah is six years old.

“Leenah feels really happy to see the shop name and her name’s on the shop," Tamara said. "She's really happy with it especially with it being pink, and when I told her, her face was full of joy.

“This is building our dreams, I've always had a bond with dogs and cats, and I would not change my job for the world.

“Shopping local is not only supporting a small business but it's building our dreams and for this we can't thank our wonderful customers and community enough.”
