PARS stalwart volunteer David Laming enjoyed a special birthday celebration as the club helped mark his 80th birthday.

The life-long Dunfermline Athletic fan, who has volunteered for more than two decades at the club shop, enjoyed a birthday lunch with the players and staff.

He was also asked to be boardroom guest of manager James McPake at Saturday's win at Greenock Morton.

Posting on social media, the club said: "A very happy 80th birthday to lifelong DAFC fan David Laming.

"As a special thank you to David for all his support, including over 20 years of volunteering in the club shop, he was invited along with his wife Janet to have a birthday lunch with all the players and staff.

"We hope you had a great weekend doing what you enjoy most."
