A RESCHEDULED date for Dunfermline's postponed SPFL Trust Trophy tie at Dundee has been announced.
The teams had been due to meet in the quarter-finals of the competition last night (Tuesday) but, less than an hour before kick off, the game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Match referee, Graham Grainger, conducted an inspection of the playing surface following heavy rainfall throughout the day and, following concerns over some areas of the pitch, he deemed it to be unplayable.
The game was postponed 45 minutes before the match was due to start, which had also been selected for live TV broadcast by BBC Alba.
The SPFL have now confirmed that the tie will go ahead next Tuesday (January 17) with kick off at 7.45pm, but it will no longer by screened live on BBC Alba.
Dundee subsequently issued an apology to supporters for the late cancellation, with many having arrived in the city, or were on their way, when the game was postponed.
