A "WONDERFUL WEEKEND" of Easter celebrations with the Peacocks in Pittencrieff Park has "blown away" organisers.

Families turned out in Dunfermline to raise essential funds for the birds, with events including an an egg hunt, arts and crafts, a raffle, and face-painting.

There was also an Easter bonnet competition, won by five-year-old Autumn, whose entry held a special message: "Malcolm, Me and the Community".

Malcolm was the peacock killed in an attack on the aviary last year and there is now a memorial area for him near the aviary.
