THE best curry in Scotland is right on your doorstep if you live in Dunfermline.
Indian Restaurant the Everest Inn was handed the top honour of Curry Restaurant of the Year at the Scottish Curry Awards 2023, during a ceremony in Glasgow last week.
The Hospital Hill eatery beat entries from across the country with manager Jamil Uddin putting the success down to experience and community efforts.
He said: "We have been doing this for 13 years and we have done lot of work, charity work, we do cooking classes for children and things like that."
The Everest Inn opened in August 2009 and has since been dedicated to creating "authentic and masterful dishes".
During the pandemic it donated meals to front-line workers and has also supported local football teams and handed out vouchers for West Fife gala days.
It has also boasted a Certificate of Excellence on Trip Advisor for the last five years and was chosen by MP Douglas Chapman to win a Tiffin Cup, a cross-party award given by members of the Tiffin Club where MPs can nominate the best South Asian restaurant in their constituency.
As previously reported by the Press, another Dunfermline restaurant, Dhoom Indian Streatery, also enjoyed success as the awards, winning the title of 'Most Wanted Restaurant of the Year'.
