Storm Babet continues to batter Scotland with strong winds and rain - and it's now taken its toll on an old, long-established tree in Dunfermline's Pittencrieff Park.

These images were taken by Mark Leyton who described the loss of the tree as "a sad day indeed".

Mark added: "I can imagine this tree being there when a young Andrew Carnegie would sneak into the park just for the fun of it. What other stories could this tree tell? Lost to the storm this morning."
