DELEGATES at the Scottish Green Party's autumn conference had a chance to see the sights and attractions of Dunfermline as they gathered in the city for the annual event.

Party members from across the country attended the two day event at the Carnegie Conference centre with nearly 100 visitors also taking part in a social evening at the the Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries on Saturday evening.

The event was hosted by the Fife branch of the Scottish Green party and saw guests enjoy a challenging pub quiz followed by a traditional ceilidh featuring Fife based band ‘Drovers Road’.

West Fife Greens Co-Convenor, Malcolm Jack, said: "It was truly wonderful to see so many party members make the journey to our beautiful city and in particular to welcome them into the Carnegie Library for the quiz and ceilidh.

"We would especially like to thank the staff at the library for making it such a memorable evening, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue.

“Despite the heavy downpour of rain across the weekend our guests were thrilled to experience the vibrancy of our city, the local pubs and restaurants and the beautiful architecture of the library which played host to our event in the shadow of the Abbey.

“We have no doubt our visitors loved Scotland’s newest city and won’t be long in coming back."
