Fire services were called to a blaze at a disused quarry near Inverkeithing last night.
Two fire engines were called to the scene and thankfully there were no casualties.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 6.47pm on Thursday, May 16 to reports of a fire in the open near to Struan Drive, Rosyth Quarry, Inverkeithing.

“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a large area of gorse measuring approximately 20 metres by 30 metres.
“There were no reported casualties and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
