THE family of a young man who was killed in a car crash have shared details of his funeral tomorrow (Thursday).

Gareth Hempseed, from Dunfermline, lost his life in the accident in Linlithgow on Monday, April 29 and his biker friends and family are set to pay tribute.

The 20-year-old’s funeral will now be taking place tomorrow with his family posting details online and stating that they expect a big turnout on the roads.

Posting on Facebook, his mum Suzanne said: “My son Gareth was tragically killed and it’s his funeral on Thursday.

“There is going to be 200/300 bikes with a hearse and a family car going through Ballingry, Crosshill, Lochgelly, Cowdenbeath and Crossgates to Dunfermline Crematorium.”

The funeral procession will be leaving Ballingry at 2pm, with drivers advised to avoid the area if possible.

As previously reported by the Press, Gareth’s grandmother Judy had launched a fundraiser to help pay for the funeral, with more than £2,800 collected for the send-off.
